Alternative payment methods (APMs) — such as buy-now-pay-later, bank redirects, and wallets — are turned on on your payment processor, then selected for your checkout in the funnel editor’s Payment methods section.
Which methods appear depends on your processor type and what that provider supports for your account and region.
You have added a processor (TagadaPay, Airwallex, Stripe, or another supported processor).
You have or will create a payment flow that includes that processor.
Your checkout uses a funnel checkout step where you can configure Payment methods.
In your organization, open Processors, select the processor you use for card or APM payments, and open the Payment methods (or equivalent) section. Turn on each APM you need and set labels, descriptions, supported countries, and currencies where shown. If you sell subscriptions, pay attention to recurring support per method.
In Payment flows (or your store’s payment settings), ensure the flow assigned to checkout includes the processor where you enabled APMs. If it does not, edit the flow or create one.
Open your funnel, select the checkout step, and find Payment methods. Select the correct payment flow if prompted. Enable Card and each alternative method you want (methods are listed per processor). Save and publish your funnel.
Place a test order in a currency and country your method supports. Many APMs are limited by geography and currency.
Use the tab that matches the processor you connected. Steps above still apply; these tabs add only what differs.
Account setup required: Alternative payment methods are not available on every TagadaPay account by default. Ask your account manager to enable APM functionality for your organization before you configure methods on the processor or checkout.

- Connect your account first: follow **TagadaPay processor** setup if you have not already.
- On the processor, **Payment methods** lists redirect APMs (for example Klarna, iDEAL, Bancontact) and, where available, **express** wallet-style methods. Configure express options in the same area if your dashboard shows them.
- Your checkout **Payment methods** panel lists one row per enabled method (often keyed by method name and processor). Turn on only what you want customers to see.

Airwallex setup: Which payment methods you can use is decided on the Airwallex side. Contact your Airwallex account manager to enable the APMs you need for your Airwallex account before you rely on them in TagadaPay—TagadaPay can only offer methods Airwallex has activated for you.

- Connect Airwallex: **Connect Airwallex to Tagada**.
- On the Airwallex processor in TagadaPay, enable each APM that your Airwallex account already supports (for example Klarna, PayPal, iDEAL). Available methods may differ by region and contract.
- Complete webhook and credential steps from the connect guide so payments and return URLs work end to end.

Connect Stripe: Connect Stripe account to Tagada.
In your Stripe Dashboard, turn on each payment method you want to use (for example Klarna, iDEAL, Bancontact, wallets). TagadaPay only reflects methods that your Stripe account has activated—enabling a method in TagadaPay alone is not enough. Use Stripe’s Settings → Payments → Payment methods (or the equivalent in your Stripe account) and complete any provider onboarding Stripe requires.
On the Stripe processor in TagadaPay, enable the same redirect APMs and, if you use them, express methods (for example Apple Pay, Google Pay). You may need a publishable key for express checkout where the dashboard asks for it.
For Apple Pay and Google Pay setup details, see Google Pay setup and the Apple Pay guide linked from the payment methods index when available.
Issue What to check TagadaPay: APM options missing or disabled in the CRM Confirm with your account manager that APM functionality is enabled for your organization. Airwallex: A method is missing, greyed out, or fails at pay time Confirm with your Airwallex account manager that the method is enabled for your Airwallex account and region. Stripe: Method fails or is unavailable at pay time The method is enabled in TagadaPay and turned on (and fully onboarded) for your account in the Stripe Dashboard payment methods settings. Method missing in the funnel Payment methods list Processor has the method enabled; payment flow includes that processor; correct store/funnel variant. Method listed in CRM but not on the live checkout Funnel published; checkout step Payment methods toggles saved; correct payment flow on that step. Customers do not see a method Customer currency / billing country must match the method’s rules; some methods hide for subscription carts if recurring is not supported.
