# Add a Subscription Free Trial

1. Under your store menu, click on General, then click on Discounts and on Add Discount.

1.  Under your store menu, click on **General**, then click on **Discounts** and on **Add Discount**.

2.  Enter the name of your discount. Select Automatic apply and Force combine to make sure it will be active with other discounts as well.

3.  Under **Rules** select **Contains product.** Select your recurring product and variant.

4.  Under **Actions** select **Free Trial** and select the free trial duration.

5.  Scroll back to the top of the page and click on **Create Promotion**.
